Development Centers
The focus of a Development Center is the employees' further development. The procedure serves to determine and describe their abilities and competencies with regard to a certain task, position or – more generally – a certain level of management. In addition to special strengths, the areas in which the employees require further learning and development are identified in the process.
It is essential that the Development Center is properly embedded in the company's personnel development system: The result is a plan for development – not selection!
Our Development Center procedures therefore comprise a wide variety of opportunities for the employees to incorporate their own learning priorities and preferences. Along with observers or mentors, specialists from the company's own personnel development department as well as our consultants, the participant can work out his or her own development plan and come to an agreement with his/her superior on implementing it.
The Development Center thus comprises more than the “classical” exercises simulating future requirements and demands and allowing the observers to identify strengths as well as learning fields. We also integrate self-assessment, peer assessment, feedback and reflection talks as well as small learning and training units into the procedure.
The programme is always tailored specifically to the company and the target group. Here again, the development of the procedure begins with a thorough analysis of the requirements.
